A two-year effort by the Industrial BID to convince City officials to bring more services to more streets has paid off! Many of you supported us with your letters and emails and we kept making our case as unsanitary conditions grew throughout our area. We hosted a meeting with LA Sanitation representatives on September 17 where the announcement was made.
We are now happy to report that the City’s Operation Healthy Streets (OHS) expanded cleanups are scheduled to begin in early October. Nearly every street in our BID will receive regular bi-weekly cleaning and sanitizing by special City hazmat crews.
