The BID street maintenance teams recorded a new one-week total for trash removed from District sidewalks. Between November 23 – December 1, we picked up and disposed of 59 tons of trash from sidewalks, trash cans and gutters.
Our “clean team” is comprised of 19 men and women contracted by the BID from Chrysalis, a non-profit organization that trains and places formerly homeless individuals back into the workforce. We are proud to partner with Chrysalis in this effort, and grateful for the dedication of our team members who are out there making a difference for our District. When you see our crews in our black and red uniforms, let them know they’re doing a great job!
