Management Plan

Map of Proposed Boundaries

May 2009

Dear Industrial District property owner,

Thank you for your support of the Downtown Industrial District Business Improvement District (BID) and for signing our petition in favor of renewal of the BID for another five years.

BUT WE ARE NOT DONE YET!!

We had great success in gathering petitions in favor of the BID from property owners such as you. No one wants this District to go back to the low levels of safety and cleanliness of the past. There is one more step before the BID is officially in place for the next five years, however.

The City must now hold a formal election (required by State BID law). You will soon receive by mail, directly from City Hall, official ballots on which you may vote “yes” or “no” on BID renewal. You will have 45 days to return your ballot.

PLEASE VOTE YES TO ESTABLISH THE BID.

If you have any questions concerning the BID, its services or the ballots themselves, please contact the Central City East Association at 213-228-8484.

With sincere appreciation,

ESTELA LOPEZ

Executive Director
